In about an hour I’m headed down for my stepsisters high school graduation. It’s about an hour away, so hopefully my back doesn’t act up while I’m driving. OUCH! It’s getting a lot harder to sleep, shave my legs, lay down in a comfortable position :P You name it! I can’t believe I have about 2 and a half months to go! I’m going to be bedridden! Hahaa! Hopefully my dad and step mom don’t bring up the drama tonight. The biggest drama is that my aunt (dads sister) said that my step mom and step sisters don’t mean anything to the baby. WHOA. I understand why she said that (even though it’s not true, they DO mean something to the baby of course) because of the fact my step mom and step sisters are throwing me a shower and didn’t ask my aunts to be included (which reallyyy pissed them off), but I also see where my step mom is coming from, she just wants to do something nice, even though she may have gone about it wrong. My step mom said that comment really hurt her, and I don’t blame her. At first I thought she thought I said that about them, which I would never. I’ve never had the closest/most open relationship with my step mom, but I don’t hate her by any means, and would never want to hurt her feelings. I have to be neutral to everyone, and I’m trying not to take sides, but it’s hard when you have all these different sides/stories/opinions. I just hope tonight goes smoothly, we’re there for my stepsisters graduation, not to bring up the past. Any who, time to watch some season 1 of Law and Order SVU…then head out! :]

and I’m in the middle of it because I’m the pregnant one and my mom doesn’t get along with my dad and my stepmom. My aunts are pissed off at my stepmom. My stepmom is pissed at my mom. My grandma is pissed at my dad. I’m trying to be neutral and agree with everyone. I just want to throw up. I never even had drama in high school, I’m not used to this.

So far I’ve gained 14 lbs and my back can definitely tell. I can barely walk half the time, and laying on my back? Forget it! I don’t even want to mention how swollen my legs, ankles and feet have gotten in the past 4 weeks. Leighton James, I love you, but damn I’m hurting!

My boyfriend got these Green Giant Valley Fresh steamers, and so I thought I’d give them a try too. I bought a broccoli mac and cheese one and also a vegetable alfredo one. All you do it put them in the microwave for about 5 minutes, let it sit for a little while, and eat. I’m eating the broccoli one now, sooo good. I’m not a huge fan of chunks of broccoli, but I have to admit, it’s delicious. They are also only $1.95. Can’t beat that!

Yesterday went well! Leighton is perfectly up to speed at 28 weeks and 3 days and growing normally despite the scares my boyfriend and I had a few months back. I’m so thankful he’s a healthy growing boy! I was hoping to get a better 4d image of his face, but he likes to hide! He weighs just under 3 lbs! I also rescheduled my next 2 ultrasound appointments so my boyfriend can come with me. I think he really likes seeing Leighton on the ultrasound screen :]

I think I found my baby shower dress! $10 at Plato’s Closet! Plus it covers up my swollen legs! (don’t mind the mess on the floor) :P

Today I have to go get another ultrasound done! I love going to the appointments because not only do they give me amazing real life pictures of Leighton, I also get to see him moving on the screen :] My boyfriend was cute today, although I do feel bad because I scheduled the appointments (not thinking) during times when he has to work. He said ‘He’s my child too..’ :P I laughed, but in all seriousness, I’m going to change the times for my two upcoming appointments so he can come. Obviously I want him at the appointments, and he obviously wants to be there :]

Today my mom and friend are going with me…so we’ll see how that goes. It’ll probably stress me out, but once I’m staring at Leighton on the screen I won’t even care. Crazy how this little boy is keeping me sane through all the craziness.
